The first week of Breaking Bias
Breaking Bias has been out in the world for one week now, and it's already generating buzz! Check out my TV appearance and other media from this past week.
It’s officially been one week since Breaking Bias was released into the world. As we enter a contentious election season and equally tumultuous 2025 (and beyond), this week, I’ve been feeling honored and humbled that I get to bring Breaking Bias to a hurting world. I genuinely believe that this work is medicine for our current era of polarization. I’m so, so grateful for the support, love, and care that has allowed me to write and publish Breaking Bias. I’m also so grateful to everyone who has helped me to amplify its message!
I wanted to share this quote from His Holiness The Dalai Lama, who has been a major source of inspiration for me over the years. I almost couldn’t believe it when he took the time to not only read the copy of Breaking Bias that I sent to him—but that he also resonated with it so much that he wrote a foreword! Here’s what he had to say:
“As we belong to our big human family, and since interdependence is part of our reality, a sense of oneness of humanity is crucial for us.”
I’m still in awe of these powerful words and filled with joy and gratitude that he blessed this work.
I also appeared on WGN9 Television Chicago to discuss Breaking Bias and share my thoughts in Time on how bias could impact Kamala Harris’s Presidential Campaign. My work was also featured in Inc. and Fast Company! I would love it if you would keep reading to check them out and learn how you can help amplify Breaking Bias!
On WGN9 Morning News Chicago, I talked about Breaking Bias and how parents can instill kindness in kids using the daily kindness challenge. You can watch the full interview here!
I was invited to write for Time about how social desirability bias is the number one factor impacting the Kamala Harris campaign for President. I also shared the tools that we can use right now to unlearn this bias. Read the article here!
Fast Company also published an excerpt from my book, where I talk about the financial and human costs of bias—and how the tools from Breaking Bias can help! You can read the full article here.
